Employee Spotlight: Odette - Behind Every Smooth Launch
Meet Odette Nieuwoudt, Consio’s E-Commerce Implementation Manager, helping customers launch faster by removing technical and operational blockers.

Meet Odette Nieuwoudt, Consio’s E-Commerce Implementation Manager, helping customers move from setup to launch smoothly while solving the operational and technical challenges that can stand in the way. Odette joined Consio in November 2025, bringing nearly a decade of experience across ecommerce, digital marketing, and online retail. Today, she works closely with customers during one of the most important parts of their Consio journey: getting their account fully set up, resolving any blockers, and making sure they can go live as quickly and smoothly as possible.
From marketing to ecommerce
Odette originally studied marketing, but it did not take long for her to realize that ecommerce was a much better fit. Working with online stores, fast-moving businesses, and constantly evolving digital experiences felt more exciting and fulfilling to her. Before joining Consio, she worked across ecommerce and marketing roles, managing online stores, digital campaigns, customer journeys, marketplaces, and performance initiatives. That experience gave her a strong understanding of what ecommerce teams deal with day to day, from operational complexity to the pressure of creating a smooth customer experience.
Helping customers get live faster
At Consio, Odette is responsible for guiding customers through the implementation process and getting their accounts ready to launch. She works closely with clients throughout setup, making sure everything progresses correctly and stepping in whenever something is slowing the process down. Her role also involves working directly with Twilio on areas such as number porting, as well as helping resolve technical and compliance-related blockers, including SMS approvals and business profile validation.
A big part of the job is connecting all of those moving pieces and making sure customers do not get stuck along the way. One area Odette is particularly focused on is reducing the amount of time it takes for a new account to go from implementation to launch, and she is especially proud of the improvements the team has already made to this process. For her, reducing time to launch means customers can start using Consio sooner and see value from the product faster, and it is a metric she wants to keep improving as Consio continues to scale.
Learning from every ecommerce brand
One of Odette’s favorite parts of the role is the variety of customers she gets to work with. Every brand has its own products, processes, challenges, and customers, so while helping companies implement Consio, she also gets a close look at how different ecommerce businesses operate. Rather than going through the exact same implementation every time, she gets to understand each company more deeply, learn what matters to their team, and adapt the process accordingly. For Odette, that combination of helping customers and continuously learning about new businesses and industries is one of the most rewarding parts of working at Consio.
Outside of work
Outside of ecommerce, Odette has a few interests that are considerably faster and slightly more dangerous than account implementation. She loves riding motorcycles and is hoping to start learning track riding soon. She is also a big video game fan, particularly Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Overwatch. More recently, she has entered another universe entirely with Warhammer 40,000, and has started building and painting her own units.
Making every launch easier
Odette sits at the intersection of ecommerce experience, customer relationships, and operational problem-solving. Her work might begin with implementation, but the goal is broader: remove friction, solve blockers, and help customers reach the point where they can start getting real value from Consio. As the company continues to grow, making that journey faster and smoother will only become more important, and for Odette, there is always another launch process to improve.
