Employee Spotlight: Binh - Blending Engineering and Design
Meet Thanh-Binh Tang, Full Stack Developer at Consio, blending engineering and UI/UX design to build intuitive, thoughtful product experiences.
Thanh-Binh Tang joined Consio in early 2026 as a Full Stack Developer, bringing a mix of engineering skills and design sensitivity to the team. With a background in both web development and UI/UX design, he approaches product building with a clear philosophy: software should not only work well, it should feel good to use.
Shipping from week one
From his first week, Thanh-Binh has already been shipping UI improvements across the product. He delivered direct audio uploads for the Phone Numbers suggestion list, fine-tuned component behaviors, and refactored the avatars component to make it cleaner and easier to maintain.
Next up, he’ll start owning larger features that stretch beyond the frontend, bringing more backend work into his scope.
A developer with a design mindset
What makes Thanh-Binh stand out is his combination of technical versatility and design awareness. Having studied Interactive Web Development at Gobelins, he approaches development with a strong focus on user experience.
For him, the goal isn’t just to implement features, but to create interfaces that feel intuitive and enjoyable.
“I believe every website should feel like a pleasant environment for the user,” he explains. “I love collaborating with designers to make sure what we build delivers that experience.”
He also describes himself as having a “chameleon” mindset as a developer, someone who adapts to different stacks and systems while always prioritizing understanding how everything fits together.
After spending much of his previous experience working independently, joining a team environment has been especially exciting.
“I’m really motivated by learning from other engineers. Being surrounded by teammates who can challenge you makes you grow much faster.”
Outside of work
When he’s not coding, Thanh-Binh spends a lot of time in the kitchen. He enjoys cooking Asian cuisine and has become known among friends for his Korean fried chicken, his unofficial signature dish.
More recently, he’s developed another hobby: urban farming. After buying a house, he started experimenting with growing his own fruits and vegetables, discovering the satisfaction that comes with cultivating food from scratch.
At Consio, Thanh-Binh brings together technical curiosity, design sensitivity, and a builder’s mindset, helping turn ideas into interfaces that feel both functional and thoughtful.
