About

TV Ears develops assistive TV listening products designed to help customers hear television dialogue more clearly, including wireless headsets, speakers, and TV listening systems.

Product

TV listening systems and wireless headsets

For TV Ears, the phone is more than a support channel.

The company sells assistive TV listening products designed to help customers hear television dialogue more clearly. Customers often want reassurance before purchasing, whether they have questions about product selection, compatibility, setup, or how the system works with their television.

That makes a real conversation especially valuable.

Between May 1 and June 30, 2026, TV Ears used Consio across its inbound and outbound phone operations, processing 14,176 calls and generating $163,189.91 in attributed revenue.

During the same period, 6,040 unique customers were contacted, 4,798 were reached, and 1,363 attributed sales were generated.

The challenge

TV Ears' products can require more explanation than a simple impulse purchase.

Customers may need help choosing the right listening system, understanding how it connects to their TV, or confirming that a product will work for their specific setup.

At the same time, TV Ears needed to manage a significant volume of incoming calls while proactively reaching high-intent shoppers who had shown interest but had not completed their purchase.

The opportunity was to make phone conversations a scalable and measurable part of the ecommerce customer journey, across both sales and support.

The strategy

TV Ears built its phone operation around both high-volume inbound demand and proactive outbound sales.

Handling high-volume inbound demand

Across the two-month period, TV Ears received 9,740 inbound calls, with 6,219 answered calls and nearly 700 hours of inbound conversation time.

Those conversations generated $139,502.86 in attributed revenue, making inbound calls the largest contributor to overall phone revenue.

Recovering abandoned checkouts

TV Ears also used Consio to proactively contact shoppers who reached checkout but did not complete their purchase.

Its Abandoned Checkouts – Last 15 Days campaign completed 2,027 calls during the period and delivered:

  • 69.07% connection rate

  • 44.21% conversion rate on connected calls

  • $90,959.08 in attributed revenue

Instead of relying only on email or SMS reminders, TV Ears could speak directly with shoppers who had already demonstrated strong purchase intent.

Expanding outbound sales

Across all outbound activity, TV Ears made 4,436 calls, connecting with 1,582 customers.

Those calls contributed $22,801.52 in attributed revenue, while voicemail interactions generated an additional $885.53.

TV Ears has also expanded its campaign strategy to target abandoned carts and active website visitors who have not yet purchased.

Extending coverage with AI after hours

TV Ears also deployed Mike – After Hours, a Consio AI Voice Agent, to provide another layer of inbound coverage when human agents were unavailable.

During the period, the AI agent handled 1,980 inbound calls, representing nearly 60 hours of conversations.

This allowed TV Ears to extend its phone coverage beyond the human team's availability while keeping customer conversations inside the same Consio phone operation.

The results

From May 1 through June 30, 2026, TV Ears generated:

  • $163,189.91 in total attributed revenue

  • $139,502.86 from inbound calls

  • $22,801.52 from outbound calls

  • 1,114+ hours of total talk time

  • 54.96% overall campaign connection rate

  • 17.12% conversion rate on connected campaign calls

One result stands out in particular.

TV Ears' abandoned-checkout campaign alone generated $90,959.08, with 44.21% of connected calls converting into purchases.

The value of the phone therefore went beyond answering customers who chose to call. Consio also gave TV Ears a way to proactively reach shoppers at one of the most valuable moments in the ecommerce journey: after they showed buying intent, but before that intent disappeared.

One phone operation, across the customer journey

TV Ears shows what happens when phone conversations are treated as a measurable ecommerce channel rather than a standalone support function.

Inbound agents help customers get answers and purchase with confidence. Outbound campaigns reconnect with shoppers who leave checkout. AI extends coverage after hours. And attributed orders make it possible to understand which conversations generate revenue.

In just two months, that operation generated more than $163K in attributed revenue, while giving TV Ears a scalable way to serve customers across both sales and support.
